15 Second Chance Romance Books In Bestseller List

Second Chance Romance

In second chance romance, the couple/lovers had something serious in the past, whether they had something not so serious in the past. It’s sometimes has passed since they had whatever they had, and it’s time for them to try again out of romance. I love these because there’s so much history between the characters and feelings there. Many times are bad feelings that they have to rehash and get through together.

People generally have emotional turmoil, whether they should give a second chance who have hurt them, who’ve caused them inconvenience and losses. So, first of all, we need to decode how did this problem happen? How did things go so astray and worry that you have declared that this person has done huge damage to the point that you’re confused now? Sometimes we don’t set expectations. We take a lot of things for granted. You are tuned in to the same mindset, culture, and vision.

15 Second Chance Romance Books

Life is not a movie or a sitcom where everything seems pretty rosy, and you’re in love and live happily ever after. The reality is that you’re going to face crises at some point, and you’re facing one now. The point is that you often lose by starting again because things have become difficult no matter who you’re with.

At some point, your relationship will become difficult, and it’s very easy to think that you can start over and use your second chance. It is possible to rebuild, and that’s why the second chance relationship is popular. The romance readers like this trope because it is real-life based and we face in our life. So I will review 15 second chance romance books to inspire you. Let’s begin!

1. Ruin (Gods)

This book follows Zeus and Cameron, and they were each other’s entire world. They were so in love and had so much chemistry. Cameron has a lot of good things going for her. There are reasons why she has to move on.

About five years later, they meet again. Zeus did all that passion and love they used to have for each other again. It never went away, and they are trying to make things work. Cameron has been holding out a huge secret from Zeus. So this is the secret baby trope with second chance romance.

They are trying to be in each other’s lives, but there is so much standing between them, and they’re trying to make it work. Zeus is pissed that she’s kept his child away from him. Then Cameron still has trust issues from what Zeus did to her years ago. So they both did each other work for it, and it was so satisfying when they did get together.

Mac is a painter and an artist. But he’s an alcoholic, and he will go through these maudlin periods and then fight. Then he would run away for a while and come back later on, and it slowly broke. Isabella had a miscarriage, and Mac was away painting. He was drunk when he returned, and she couldn’t take it anymore. She loves him, but she needs time away from him.

So, Mac takes that as a second chance and goes to work about getting sober, which is a huge soft spot for me. I love seeing the changes he’s made and how he views her.

In this book, we’re talking about the oldest Mackenzie. His name is Hart Mackenzie, and he’s on the road to being prime minister. About ten years ago, he was still in love with Lady Eleanor, and he was engaged to her. But he took it for granted, and he had mistresses at that time. So his mistress at the time met Eleanor and liked her.

It’s a huge part of the book’s storyline, why they’re so dark and have different desires because their dad tortured them. Also, it was horrible, and my heart is into BDSM. So Hart has a house that he owns where people can go to do that. He’s not quite a pimp, but he owns the premise and his mistress. She ends up running it later and becomes the madam of the place. But she felt bad for Eleanor because Eleanor was such a sweet woman, and partly she did it to get back at heart.

Isabelle needs to bring them back to help her family in her family business. The whole setup of this series is hard to explain.

But they enter into this deal that she will be both of their submissives for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, she’ll pick one of them to be with. That’ll be the end of it. Things go down a little bit differently than that, but this is a second chance for all three of them. This is a montage story, and Katee Robert writes better and manager.

15. Fumbled (Playbook)

Our main character, Poppy, is a single mom, and she runs into TK Moore, a professional football player. They had a romance when she was 16, and she ended it. It’s their second chance. TK Moore is a hard character at the beginning because he’s closed off to her. She broke his heart when they were younger, so it’s hard to trust her again. But once he breaks down those walls, he is so swoon-worthy.

It’s nice seeing Poppy open up herself again to love. Being a single mom for six years has caused her to put her family first and not herself. So it’s a very cute romance. It’s very football-heavy and deals with the concussion controversy in football.
